2024 Fall Health Fairs
Welcome to the Pacific Health Coalition Fall Health Fairs! The Coalition, through your health plan, is pleased to provide you and your covered family members with easy access to preventive care health screening tests and flu shots each year at the Health Fairs.
- Pre-registration is REQUIRED.
- There is no cost to you and your eligible, covered family members.
NOTE: If you are an AlaskaCare Retiree Health Plan participant, please go to Ak DRB > Retiree Health Plans (alaska.gov) to view your options for obtaining preventive care through your Plan.
Comprehensive Lab Tests Available at the Health Fairs
The Health Fairs offer comprehensive lab tests, to adults age 18 and over. Screenings like these can help you learn about your health and detect potential problems early.
It is recommended that you fast for 12 hours before your comprehensive lab test:
- Non-fasting lab tests are available at the Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau locations. If you do not plan to fast for at least 12 hours prior to your lab tests at one of these locations, please schedule a late-morning appointment to accommodate fasting participants.
- No food or drink (including coffee) except water.
- Please drink plenty of water during the 24 hours leading up to your appointment. Dehydration is the main cause of difficulties with blood draws.
- People with diabetes should NOT fast.
- In all cases, prescription medication should be taken.

Flu Shots Available at the Health Fair
- Quadrivalent flu shots are available for health plan participants age 9 and older.
- NOTE: The high dose flu vaccine is not available.
- Soldotna Health Fair participants: Due to Central Peninsula Hospital policy, flu shots cannot be administered at the Health Fair to participants under the age of 18. The PHC will provide flu shot vouchers via email for participants ages 9-17 who are pre-registered for a flu shot at the Soldotna Health Fair.
Flu shots are provided by the Health Fair sponsor, the Pacific Health Coalition.
Pre-registration Instructions
Pre-registration for lab tests and flu shots is REQUIRED for each Health Fair. Pre-registration closes on Wednesday at midnight 7 business days before all Saturday Health Fairs and on Thursday at midnight 7 business days before all Sunday Health Fairs.
- You must pre-register and schedule an appointment for each eligible, covered employee, spouse, and family member (age 18 and over) who would like a comprehensive lab test.
- You must pre-register each eligible, covered employee, spouse, and family member (age 9 and over) who would like to receive a flu shot. You may receive your flu shot at any time during the Health Fair you are pre-registered to attend.
Registration is not transferable from one date to another.
Note: You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of your pre-registration as well as a reminder email four days prior to your appointment. If you do not receive a confirmation email, check your Spam or Junk folder. If you need to cancel your pre-registration, you may do so using the link provided in the confirmation email.
